TAG HEUER KICKS OFF A MILESTONE ANNIVERSARY
We are delighted to have in stock and available the wonderful TAG Heuer 160th anniversary special edition Carrera, the Carrera line named after a famous road racing event is synonymous with TAG Heuer’s racing heritage. The design is heavily inspired by a model released in 1964 and manages to retain the charm of a vintage piece but within its case is a thoroughly modern movement.
The 39mm stainless steel case houses the Heuer 02 movement which is a brand-new addition to an already well-established chronograph stable, boasting an 80-hour power reserve which is almost unheard of in a chronograph watch.
The dial on this piece is also a stunning creation blending the old with the new, faceted hands which catch the light in such a captivating fashion are adorned with luminous accents which appear vintage in the daylight but glow a very bright green in lower light conditions. The silver dial has a subtle sunray effect and the sub dials have a very appealing concentric pattern.
When viewed from the back the movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, the unique feature here is an engraved then lacquered motif detailing the 160th anniversary of the inception of the Heuer company, engraved around the case is the “One of 1860” a reference to the highly limited nature of the watch, in total there are only 1860 of these amazing timepieces available worldwide.
The watch is presented on a black alligator strap with deployment clasp which has an engraved Heuer logo which fits perfectly inside the shield presented on the exterior of the clasp.
The overall appeal of the 1960’s chronograph watches produced by the legendary Heuer brand has been truly captured here but upgraded with the latest technology in both movement and finishing, a wonderful addition to any watch collection or an amazing all-rounder suitable to be worn every day we highly recommend viewing this piece so it can be truly appreciated although we have a feeling it will not be available for long!
