Inspire Challenge winners announced
The judging and selection process to determine the winners of the Inspire Challenge has taken place and we are very excited to reveal our winners.
Following the receipt of so many impressive entries, we decided two designs would be selected as our winners. One winning entry from the under 18 category, and a second winner from our adult entries.
Both designs will be created by our master jeweller when our state-of-the-art workshop re-opens in-store at Jamieson & Carry. Both pieces will then be sold with all proceeds being donated to the NHS Grampian charity fund.
Partner, Angus Carry said:
“We were captivated by the creativity and thought that went into the entries we received. The judging process was a real challenge due to the high calibre of the entries.
“The first winner we selected was Bibi Murray, aged 10 from Aberdeen. We loved the feel-good factor when we received Bibi’s entry and we are confident her design will make for a beautiful piece of jewellery.”
Bibi’s design combines a rose gold necklace with delicate white gold petals, completed with a yellow diamond or sapphire centre.
Angus continued:
“Our second winner is Elaine Esson from Huntly in Aberdeenshire. Elaine’s design incorporated the NHS at its core and really spoke to the judging panel on so many levels. A well-crafted, carefully planned design which we felt really encompassed what the Inspire Challenge was all about.”
Elaine’s NHS inspired design encompasses the sun to radiate warmth and light and is made from yellow gold with a round cut diamond in the centre. The new moon represents a new beginning, made from platinum with even more diamonds. The design is set on a blue sapphire background to represent our incredible emergency services who have been a real source of inspiration during the pandemic.
Jamieson & Carry would like to thank everyone who participated in the Inspire Challenge whether that was through submitting an entry or helping to raise awareness of the competition by sharing with family and friends. You can view a gallery of entries on our website here.
Further information on how the winning designs will be sold will be announced in the coming weeks. We are looking into options to allow us to sell a number of tickets to win each item. This is in response to feedback and our wish to allow as many people as possible to be in with a chance to win one of these incredible designs whilst helping to raise money for a very deserving charity.
